How Our NCBTMB Approved Courses Meet Illinois Massage Renewal Requirements

Illinois massage therapists must complete 25 continuing education hours every two years, including 2 hours of Ethics, 1 hour of Sexual Harassment Prevention, 1 hour of Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Awareness, and 21 hours related to professional massage therapy education. Illinois accepts online/self-study continuing education completed through approved providers, including NCBTMB Approved Providers, provided the course includes an examination.

Our 12-CE Advanced Acupressure Techniques for Musculoskeletal Pain course satisfies 12 hours of professional continuing education toward Illinois' 25-hour renewal requirement. This self-paced, online course is NCBTMB Approved and may be completed entirely online from the comfort of your home.

Our 4-CE Medical Ethics package satisfies 4 hours of Ethics continuing education and is also completed entirely online through our NCBTMB Approved Provider program.

We also offer a 2-CE Human Trafficking Awareness and Prevention course, providing additional continuing education that may be applied toward Illinois' required renewal hours.

While Illinois specifically requires a 1-hour Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Awareness course and a 1-hour Sexual Harassment Prevention course, our Human Trafficking course offers valuable education for healthcare professionals but does not replace these Illinois-specific requirements.

Together, our courses provide 18 online continuing education hours toward Illinois license renewal.
