About This Course
Drawing from centuries of traditional East Asian medicine and over 20 years of clinical practice and teaching experience, this course teaches practical acupressure techniques for musculoskeletal pain management. You'll learn effective acupressure point locations and treatment strategies that can be easily integrated into your massage sessions to help address common pain conditions affecting the neck, back, shoulders, hips, and extremities.
Focused on real-world clinical application, this course provides techniques designed to enhance treatment outcomes, expand your therapeutic toolbox, and help clients achieve better pain relief results.
How Our NCBTMB Approved Courses Meet Iowa Requirements
Iowa allows up to 8 continuing education hours to be completed through approved online or home-study courses.
Our 12-Hour Advanced Acupressure Techniques for Musculoskeletal Pain course is NCBTMB Approved, making 8 hours of the course applicable toward Iowa's allowable online CE limit.
The remaining 8 hours must be completed through live, in-person or live interactive continuing education as required by Iowa law.
We also offer a 4-Hour Ethics Package and a Free Human Trafficking Awareness course for therapists seeking additional professional education.
However, because Iowa limits home-study/online CE to 8 hours per renewal period, these additional online courses generally would not increase the number of online hours that may be applied toward Iowa license renewal unless they are completed in an approved live format or otherwise satisfy Iowa's requirements. Always retain your completion certificates for at least four years.
