How Our NCBTMB-Approved Courses Meet Maryland Massage Renewal Requirements
Maryland massage therapists must complete 24 hours of continuing education every two years, including 3 hours in Ethics or Jurisprudence, 3 hours in Communicable Diseases (including HIV/AIDS), 2 hours in Diversity, Cultural Competency, or Implicit Bias, and 16 hours of elective continuing education pertaining to the human anatomy. Maryland also requires current CPR certification for license renewal.
Our 12-CE Advanced Acupressure Techniques for Musculoskeletal Pain course satisfies 12 of the required 16 hours of elective continuing education pertaining to the human anatomy. As an NCBTMB Approved Provider, our course is accepted by the Maryland Board toward these elective continuing education requirements.
We also offer a 4-CE Ethics Package. Maryland requires 3 hours in Ethics or Jurisprudence, so our package exceeds the minimum requirement while providing additional professional ethics education.
After completing our 12-Hour Acupressure Course and 4-Hour Ethics Package, Maryland massage therapists would still need:
3 hours in Communicable Diseases (including HIV/AIDS)
2 hours in Diversity, Cultural Competency, or Implicit Bias
Current CPR certification (Healthcare Provider CPR for LMTs or Basic CPR for RMPs)
Together, our Acupressure Course and Ethics Package can satisfy 16 of Maryland's required 24 continuing education hours, including 12 of the required 16 hours of elective continuing education pertaining to the human anatomy.
