About This Course
Drawing from centuries of traditional East Asian medicine and over 20 years of clinical practice and teaching experience, this course teaches practical acupressure techniques for musculoskeletal pain management. You'll learn effective acupressure point locations and treatment strategies that can be easily integrated into your massage sessions to help address common pain conditions affecting the neck, back, shoulders, hips, and extremities.
Focused on real-world clinical application, this course provides techniques designed to enhance treatment outcomes, expand your therapeutic toolbox, and help clients achieve better pain relief results.
How Our NCBTMB Approved Courses Meet New Mexico Renewal Requirements
New Mexico massage therapists must complete 16 continuing education hours every two years, including 4 hours in Ethics and 8 hours of live, in-person instruction. The remaining 8 hours may be completed through approved online continuing education.
Our courses are approved through our NCBTMB Approved Provider status and cover subjects specifically accepted by the New Mexico Massage Therapy Board, including massage therapy, bodywork, health care, ethics, professional development, movement therapy, and stress management.
8-CE Bonus New Mexico CE Package is specifically designed to meet the state's allowable online education and includes:
4 CE Hours – Medical Ethics
5 CE Hours – Upper Body Acupressure for Pain Relief
This package completes all 8 hours of online continuing education permitted toward New Mexico license renewal. You will then complete the required 8 hours of live, in-person continuing education to satisfy the state's 16-hour renewal requirement.
For therapists who wish to expand their clinical skills beyond the minimum renewal requirements, we also offer the 12-CE Advanced Acupressure Techniques for Musculoskeletal Pain course. While New Mexico permits only 8 online CE hours toward each renewal period, many therapists choose the 12-hour course for its comprehensive clinical instruction and may apply the additional education toward future professional development where appropriate.
