About This Course

Drawing from centuries of traditional East Asian medicine and over 20 years of clinical practice and teaching experience, this course teaches practical acupressure techniques for musculoskeletal pain management. You'll learn effective acupressure point locations and treatment strategies that can be easily integrated into your massage sessions to help address common pain conditions affecting the neck, back, shoulders, hips, and extremities.

Focused on real-world clinical application, this course provides techniques designed to enhance treatment outcomes, expand your therapeutic toolbox, and help clients achieve better pain relief results.

How the 12 NCBTMB approved CEs meet Washington Renewal Requirements

Washington massage therapists must complete 24 hours of continuing education every two years, including 4 hours in Ethics, Communication, Professional Roles & Boundaries, or Washington Laws & Rules, 2 hours in Health Equity, and at least 8 hours of in-person, hands-on massage training. A maximum of 16 hours may be completed through online learning.

Our 12-Hour Advanced Acupressure Techniques for Musculoskeletal Pain course satisfies 12 hours of general continuing education toward Washington's 24-hour requirement. Because this is an online home-study course, it does not qualify for the required hands-on, in-person training hours.

We also offer a 4-Hour Ethics Package that may be used toward Washington's requirement for 4 hours in Ethics, Client Communication, Professional Roles & Boundaries, or Washington Laws & Rules.

After completing our 12-Hour Acupressure course and 4-Hour Ethics course, Washington massage therapists would still need:

  • 2 hours of Health Equity training

  • 8 hours of in-person, hands-on massage training

Together, our Acupressure and Ethics courses can satisfy up to 16 of Washington's 24 required CE hours.
